The single most useful rule: French resorts run two separate discount systems. Holiday/week passes (6–8 days) go on sale in early September with flash promos lasting about a week — that's the Les Arcs 40% offer above. Season passes have a slower ladder that steps up on 30 September, then 15–30 November. If you ski one week a year, watch the September flash sales. If you ski more than 12 days, buy the season pass before 30 September.
